You are ordered to proceed forthwith to
Selma Ala. and examine into the matter of transportation of coal from
Alabama into Georgia; ascertaining the difficulties that have interfered
with its transportation and taking such control as will enable you to
remove those difficulties and facilitate the transportation of the coal.
You will also examine into the wharf now being constructed at Selma, and
will ascertain its probable cost and necessity making full reports to
this office of all your actions and examinations. |
Your headquarters will be at Selma. |
