Your letter of the 15th reporting that
individual freights were as favorably transported as Government and in
some cases preference had been given to them, came this morning. |
You will please make a full & detailed
account of all such neglect as has fallen under your own supervision
or has come to your knowledge to me. In the meantime use your best endeavors
to promote Government transportation and impress upon the Rail Road
the necessity of prompt dispatch of commissary Stores. |
