| I have the honor to return herewith the
letter of Capt R. Turk A. Q. M. which was referred to me enquiry has
been instituted by me to ascertain whether delay has occurred in the
transportation of the stores mentioned in the letter of Capt Turk as
lying in Richmond and I have received satisfactory information from
Capt D A Wood AQM in charge of rail road transportation and also
from Mr H D Whitcomb Superintendent of Transportation Va Central RR
that no such transportation has been asked for & no such articles
are at the depot of the Va Central RRd in this city awaiting Capt
Turks orders it is also reported to me that some of the articles
mentioned by Capt Turk have gone off as soon as ordered |
