Refers letter of Mess Lynch & Callenden
apply for transportation on the W RRds. |
Lt Col A. F. Cone |
|
Retd to Lt Col Cone. The established
practice has been to leave individuals even Govt Contractors to their
own exertions in obtaining transportation as the Govt has its hands full
to provide for itself in that respect. It is impossible too to jeoppard
the supply of either Commissary Stores or forage at this time. As
however the Govt has an interest in this instance in procuring the raw
material on the most favorable terms transportation officers may extend
to the applicants any facilities that they can consistent with the more
important objects alluded to. |
