| Is engaged in removing from Balto & Ohio R.
R. the Tools, Locomotives, Telegraph wire &c. Wants written instructions
with regard to the railroad iron and wire. The Winchester & Potomac R.
R. need the iron on the same terms as the Manassas Gap R. R. were
offered the tools and engines, that is, payment for it to be made in
transportation of troops &c. For a contemplated R. R. from Winchester to
Manassas Gap R. R. the iron would be of much value. Asks for military
protection in his operations. |
