Relating to order of Supt Gill
{Richmond & Petersburg RR} for his cars not
to run on Govt Road {connector in Petersburg}
unless the Govt becomes responsible for damages &c. Thinks the

Resply refd to Maj F. W. Sims for action. |

Resply retd to QM Genl. The cause of the
refusal to permit cars of the R&P RR to run on the Govt track originates
from the frequency of accidents thereon three having occurred doing more
or less damage to twelve cars. An arrangement has been made however to
continue as heretofore till the new track is finished. |
