Resply retd to QM Genl. There was no
messenger on hand to go with this lot & we are not allowed to employ
over twenty which number will not meet the demands upon the office. Mail
train transportation was not furnished because your orders are positive
not to ship them without the order of Col Gorgas. n invoice is submitted
for your decision. |
