General, |
I respectfully request that
two wagons, with teams, may be ordered to report as soon as possible,
with forage for fifteen days to H. T. Douglas, Asst. Engr. at
Hamilton's Crossing near Fredericksburg. |
There teams are needed, in
addition to three already furnished, to remove from the Crossing to
the rail road at Hamilton's crossing, the iron now taken up from the
Acquia Creek road {the part of the Richmond,
Fredericksburg & Potomac RR on the north side of the river from
Fredericksburg}. |
It is necessary to remove this
iron as promptly as possible for fear of interference by the
enemy. |
Respectfully |
Your obedient Servant |
