Reports 253 bales of govt cotton
{about 10 car loads} awaiting shipment to
Augusta {on Atlanta & West Point RR}, is
being much damaged by exposure to weather. 7 bales destroyed by troops
in transit & 26 by fire ***. Suggests that if it is to remain much
longer that it be stored. |
