We are holding the Piedmont road to a
rigid responsibility for losses of stores in transportation, and it is
necessary that nothing should be shipped by assumed weight, save cars.
All others initially should be weighted and I under the impression
that you did so but am informed by Capt Waller that such is not the
case. It is better to suffer some detention than to abandon all real
??ting as we do in shipping by assumed weight. You will please order
everything weighted. |
