Dear Sir, |
|
In accordance with your directions I left Savannah
yesterday at 2 1/2 p. m. but on account of the Engine getting out off
order, did not arrive in Macon until 3 a. m. this morning. |
|
I left this morning at 10 a. m. via Southwestern RR and
arrived here at 4 1/2 p.m. detained some time today on account of a wash
in the Muscogee RR everything however is all right this far. there is
only one train a day between here and Montgomery I leave by that in the
morning (tomorrow) at 7 1/2 a. m. and will write you again from
Montgomery. W. Duncan Jr is also here with me. I will be forced stay in
Montgomery one day to get transportation from the Quartermaster. Capt.
Stewart not be able to give me the necessary amt at Savannah. |
|
Yours Respectfully |
