| Dear Sir, |
| Your Asst Adt Genl Thomas Jordan
forwarded a Circular dated the 8th inst which I only received

| Presuming that it is too late to meet
the managers of the various Rail Roads as he proposed I without
hesitation assure you of the full cooperation in any arrangement you
and they may make. |
| If you have not made the appointment on
your staff as proposed, I would suggest the name of Sam Tate
President of the Memphis & Charleston Rail Rod. |
| Any arrangement you may find necessary
as to Schedule for time tables for Passenger trains or Freight I
will concur in promptly. |
| Wishing you success health &c |
| I remain respectfully |
