Received of Col. W. H. S. Taylor, 2d Auditor of the
Confederate States of America all the papers (except two Reports made
by said 2d Auditor) in the case of the Memphis & Ohio Rail Road
Co. against the Confederate States for two Locomotive Engines called
the "D. B. Malloy" & "Frazer Titus" Said to
have been impressed by Majr. Genl. Forney & Liut Genl. Pemberton
and captured by the enemy on the 4 day of July 1863 when Vicksburgh
fell into the hands of the enemy. |

The above papers are to be placed before the
Commissioner of Miss for taking proof of claims, for irregular ??? and
returned to the auditing officers of Richmond for further action. |
