Dear Sir, |
While at Augusta I could not
give you the names of those I wished detailed and now take the first
opportunity of doing so. |
I am much pressed to work but
still I have been able to keep running by working at night and feel it
my duty to continue rather than procure more me and do my work
more easily. |
I want but one man viz: |
Andrew Englehardt (Tim & Copper Smith) |
Private in Andrews Battery mow at Kinston
or Kingston N. C. |
This man has worked for us for
years and I hope considering my wants are so moderate you will order him
to report to me. |

Respy referred to Q. M. G. and would urge
this detail. This road has asked fewer favors than any in C. S. and the
large quantity of transportation it does for Govt. entitles it to the
first consideration. |
