Dear Sir, |
In obedience to your requisition, I had
one car of lime brought from the lime works on day before yesterday,
and had two more cars left there for the transportation of your lime. |
These two cars instead of being loaded for
you by the agent of the lime Works were loaded one for Atlanta the
other for Augusta and were thus placed beyond my reach. The pressure
for cars by the Government in this city is so great as to render it
difficult to spare cars for your purposes, and when through exertion I
do so I am thus frustrated in my efforts to serve you. |
Very Respectfully |
J. E. Appler Agent |
