Dear Sir, |
In view of the fact that our Memphis Depot
is filled with Ordnance, Ordnance Stores and Quartermasters Stores
awaiting transportation to Grenada which we are unable to furnish on
account of the restrictions placed upon our rolling stock, I beg to
suggest that you issue a requisition for us to take possession of what
cars I may find on the Mississippi Central switches at Grenada. There
are a considerable number of cars at that point which could be used to
advantage in transporting these valuable stores. |

Resp referred with the endorsement that this road has
but a very deficient amount of rolling stock in all, yet the great
majority of that has been taken off & there is much valuable Govt
property laying at the depot which should be removed |
