I beg to enclose an order received
yesterday evening, requiring the immediate transportation of all
Medical Stores, Supplies, Ammunition and Ordnance for this
place by the first train after demand is made for the
transportation. |
A strict execution of this order will load
every Mail Train to the full capacity of the Engine, and stop the
Transportation of Mails, Passengers, and soldiers coming to this
place. Before extending the order to the Agents and employees, I
respectfully ask if it is intended to embrace the transportation by
Mail Train of every description of Army Supplies. |
