Gen. Comm'd'g, you will proceed without delay to inspect the defences
for the bridges and trestles on the rail road between Tensas and
Pollard {Mobile & Great Northern RR} and
take such measures as to render them efficient. |

command of troops near such points will afford you any requisite
assistance. |
