| I have the honor herewith to send a letter
from Mr. Saml. Tate President of the M. & C. R. R. {Memphis
& Charleston RR} and also one
from Gov. Harris on the same subject. |
| From all I can learn here there is no
reason to doubt the loyalty and zeal of Mr Tate & Ross the
President and Superintendent of the M. & C. R. R. |
| I find great difficulty in transporting
the stores from this place but hope to get matters managed soon. |
