Major, |
I am informed by Mr. Devor of Van Wert,
Polk Co. Ga, the contractor for slate for the buildings being erected at
this place under my orders, that over 100 squares of slate are now at
Cartersville on the Atlanta and Chattanooga railroad
{Western & Atlantic RR} for me, waiting
transportation, and that he must stop hauling more slate to the Depot
until that already there is removed, as these is no more room. |
Please inform me whether you can send cars
up to Cartersville for this slate, and how soon. The cars must of course
come down here, it will not do to shift the slate at Atlanta. |
I am, Major, &c |
