Messrs. Pitts & Cook |
Atlanta, Ga. |
|
Gentlemen, |
I am directed by Capt Mallet to inform you
that fifteen cars have arrived here from Station 17 1/2 on Central
{(of Georgia)} R. R, loaded with lumber for
you. Nine of these belong to the Central R. R. and must be returned
immediately. The other six will be sent in two or three days. They
belong to Maj Cuyler Comd'g C. S. Arsenal here and are to be forwarded
to the Etna Coal Mines for bringing coal for him. |
The difficulty of obtaining cars for
hauling your lumber on the Macon & Brunswick R. R. is extreme, and it is
now almost impossible to procure them though every effort will be made.
Can you not replace from the lumber now sent, that which you wish from
the Brunswick R. R.? If not, what is the smallest amount of that on the
Brunswick R R. which will keep you going for some time? |
I am, Gentlemen, |
Very Respectfully |
Your obt. servt |
