Captain, |
Maj Cuyler Com'dg Macon Arsenal & Armory
has informed me of the receipt by him of a telegram from you asking if
Strate can be spared for two or three months to bring cars from
Mobile. Strate is now in my employment as foreman of Carpenters. I could
not spare him without very great inconvenience and should not like to do
so unless urged by the existence of special reasons of military
necessity. There are of course circumstances under which it would be
right to send him or any other workman even at the cost of stopping the
works here, but I do not suppose that to be the case in the present
instance. |
I am Captain, |
Very Respectfully |
