I Hugh Rice Superintendent Manassas Gap Rail Road Company
depose & say that the accompanying account of said Co for
$27,111.72 is correct to wit -- that the services were rendered to the
Confederate States as charged & that it is rendered at the
Columbia rates as set in Raleigh on 12th Apl 1864 (1/2 to train &
1/2 to track) as authorized by QM General. In all cases practicable
the amt on ??? of the officer is command or person passing so as
obtains on the vouchers & the vouchers here presented and all the
vouchers held by this Company for the services.
