I think we have the 37 Freight Cars & 2 Passenger
Cars -- the Property of your Company now in the service of the
Government on the: V. C. {Virginia Central} & O&A
{Orange & Alexandria} RRds & the roads south of
Richmond collected -- for the purpose of repairs.
|
As soon as the Repairs are made they will cease to be in
the service of the Government. I wish you to cause these repairs to be
made at the least possible expense -- and -- in the shortest possible
time. The expenses ??? your doing so. I will pay you monthly on your
furnishing to me the account in detail.
