I understand that it will be
necessary to keep a guard stationed at the Hatchie Bridge, on the
Mississippi Central Road, the bridge being several miles north of
Bolivar. |
I propose to raise a Company
for the purpose, if you will be pleased to communicate such authority
to me. The Company to be organized and mustered in the Confederate
Service, but with the understanding that they will be detailed for the
above mentioned local defence, as long as such defence may be
necessary |
