Dr Major, |
I have the honor to acknowledge the
receipt "pr Southern Express" of one hundred (100) dollars. |
There has been no coal cars belonging
either to the M&W or W Pt {Atlanta & West Point
RR} Roads here for the last five days. |
I understand this evening that Mr E. B.
Walker transportation Agt. of the State Road
{Western & Atlantic RR} at Atlanta, (who claims the control of
all cars that may come over his road,) has sent up an order to have the
three first Macon & Western cars that may arrive here loaded for the
College at Macon. |
Against this order I shall protest in
strong terms, but am not certain it will do any good, as the officers of
Joe Browns Road do about as they please. |
Yours Respectfully |
