On the 12th Sept 99 Walnut Gun Stocks were
shipped to my address by Capt. A. G. Brenizer Salisbury Arsenal N. C. |
On the 20th September 480 Rough Musket
Stocks, 235 Carbine Stocks, and 14 Packing Crates Total 7515 lbs were
shipped to my address by Maj. F. F. Jones Comdg. C. S. Armory Richmond
Va. |
None of these articles have yet reached me
and I wish them stopped in transitu and reshipped to Capt. C. C. McPhail
Comdg C. S. Armory Columbia S. C. This step is rendered necessary by
recent orders received from the Chief of Ordnance. If these articles
have not yet passed through your hands I have to request that you will
not forward them to my address but will reship them to Capt McPhail at
Columbia Please send me the Rail Road Receipts in order that I may make
out invoices. |
