Dr. Major, |
Yours of the14th is this minute received,
I shipped a car load to the Columbus works yesterday, and have one,
today, ready which I shall send to Macon Arsenal -- the instructions
contained in your favor of the 14th I will carry out fully and
faithfully. In shipping to Macon, we shall be compelled to give up the
{Atlanta &} West Point cars, as they do not
pass over that road {the Macon & Western RR}.
I shall try however to retain them as long as possible, an agent of Capt
Humphreys arrives here last evening after coal, he can do nothing he is
too green |
Yours Respectfully |
