Dr Sir, |
Sometime Since at your request I sent
Platform Cars to #9 to be loaded with lumber at Wadley Jones & Cos Mill
for you. Again on the 1st inst I sent 5 from here and 4 from Macon for
same purpose. |
Acting Agent Mayo at Said Station in
answer to my enquiry why he had not sent you the cars loaded with you
lumber answered under date of 2nd inst as follows= "One of the cars was
loaded with lumber for Augusta others are here as old pine received
yesterday. Mr Jones is not at work and I dont know why Mr Jones dont
ship Capn Cuylers lumber. I think he thought Garey Lumber ha? would haul
it." I give you above Statement to you see that I sent the cars and you
requested and the fault & delay rests on W J & Co. |
We rarely haul small lots of lumber with
our lumber train as its very inconvenient to do so given ??? If a full
train load offers (sixteen cars) we often ?? {edge
