Sir, |
I am seriously contemplating the laying of
a track from your road to the premises now occupied by me for Govt
purposes, and as you have an abundance of materials for the purpose, I
have thought that perhaps I could arrange with you to do the work and
supply everything necessary at the Govt expense. I will thank you
therefore to inform me at your earliest convenience whether or not you
can undertake the work, and what will be cost of the whole complete laid
in the cheapest manner that will answer the purpose. At the present
moment this track if laid, would be of the greatest service to my
purposes, and would relieve me of the trouble I find in obtaining the
means of hauling from your Depot and others. |
Your early reply will much oblige. |
Very Respectfully |
Your obdt Servant |
Jas. H. Burton |
Supt of Armories |
|
P.S. Please also state the shortest time in which you
could do the work. |
