I have the honor to acknowledge the
receipt of your favor of the 13th inst. covering receipt for twenty four
carboys Sulphuric acid. |
In justice to the Rail Road Companies as
well as the Government, it could not be said that all the carboys were
in the best order for transportation at the time of shipment, an effort
was made before shipping the acid to render the packages tight, but with
what success I am not prepared to say, s the parties engaged were
novices at that branch of business. |
