Sir, |
You will proceed without delay to Station
No 2 S. W. R. R. {South Western RR} and
there inspect and measure the pine firewood offered for sale by M. E.
Wassen. Should you find the wood to be of good average quality and
length, you are authorized to purchase to the extent of 250 cords
{42 car loads}, or such less quantity as
may be in condition to be measured at the time of your inspection. |
As it may be some time before this wood
can be transported to Macon, you will make what arrangements you can for
its safety from fire &c. |
This duty performed, you will return to
this Armory. |
The price of the wood must not exceed
$3.00 per cord. |
