Dear Sir, |
Yours of the 6th inst. advising of
shipment of twenty one squares & 44 feet of roofing slate on the day
previous is to hand only yesterday. |
In the mean time the slate have been
received without an invoice to verify quantity. Can you not arrange so
that we may receive invoice in advance of slate, so that we may know
what should be received |
Enclosed herewith I send you the blank
forms for Returns of detailed men in your employ as requested. Major
Hottle {J. J. Hottel, Transportation Officer,
Atlanta} informs me that he is prepared to furnish the cars you
require for shipping slate whenever you notify him that you are ready
for them |
I trust that the question of
transportation is now arranged so that shipments of slate will be made
regularly to this Armory |
Respectfully & truly Yours |
Jas. H. Burton |
