Sir, |
I am compelled to suspend from work a
large number of brickmasons & laborers in consequence of the
non-delivery of lime. I received two invoices from you 13th & 16th
inst. respectively, of one car load each, neither of which has been
received. I have to request that you will in future fill my requisitions
more promptly and send forward all ordered by Lt. Selden, J. S. K. on
the 7th inst. You will please forward in addition 160 casks. Maj. Mallet
has I understand received within a few days two car loads of lime for
which he has received no invoices. I infer from this that the two car
loads lime invoiced to me have been consigned to him, by whose neglect
or oversight I do not know. Your immediate attention to this subject
will oblige. |
Respectfully Your Obedt Servt. |
