Sir, |
***** The matter of transportation for you
slate has been acted upon, and I am informed by Maj. Hottle Q. M. & Supt
of Transportation at Atlanta, Ga, that the transportation will be
furnished when the slate are delivered at Cartersville. I have requested
him to instruct the A. Q. M. or Agent at Cartersville to send you word
when the cars were ready, and that you would send over hands to load the
cars. I wish you would put yourself in communication with the Agent or
A. Q. M. at Cartersville and arrange with them some plan by which you
can act in thorough concert with them with reference to shipping the
slate, as they require the owner to load them on the cars. You will
perceive that I have done all I can to facilitate the matter of
transportation, and it remains for you now to make the final
arrangements. You had better go and see the Agent and A. Q. M. yourself
if possible. How many more slate are ready for delivery? |
I am Sir |
Respectfully Your Obdt Sevt |
