| I have two cars loaded with lime that has
been standing at youngs burro(?) {Yonge's Station,
on the Columbus Branch of the Montgomery & West Point RR} for 5
or 6 days, the train passing to & from Montgomery will not take them.
their excuse is that they are loaded from Montgomery & cannot carry any
more & if they could they say it is against their orders to do so. I
think it would be better for you to inform Maj. Hottel Chief of
Transportation or Mr Cram the Supt at Montgomery about the matter. Mr
Appler the Supt at this place told me he would report the matter to day
to Mr Cram if he does I will be able to get the lime down to morrow. |
