| In reply to your favor of 1st inst, would
say that I will give the order to deliver cars loaded with lumber for
Col. Burton at the present M&W {Macon &
Western RR} depot, provided said cars are unloaded and returned
to us the same day, and we are allowed a fair compensation for their
use, and the expenses and trouble of transferring them across the ???,
Say $3.00 per car. |
| Should each car not be returned as above
provided, then the government to pay us Seven (7) Dollars per day for
each days detention. |
| As soon as I receive Col. Burtons
acceptance of these terms I will give the proper order |
