| you will please acknowledge
for me to Genl Johnston the receipt of his order transferring to me
again the Superintendency of the L&N RRoad. I am gratified that
Genl Johnston has again entrusted me with the control of this
important route, and will and am now endeavoring to increase its
efficiency. |
| I shall be pleased to retain
Mr. Fleece. Should his management at Bowling Green be efficient. The
bearer of this communication E H Cole Esq is my asst. authorized to
settle the a/c of the Road, which Genl Buckner by order of Oct last
directed Mr Fleece to make out and present to me monthly, which he has
heretofore failed to do. |
