| In view of orders from Hd Qrs dated 20th
Jany. 1865 forbidding all officers except from the Treasy Dept.
receipting for Tax in Kind, I would respectfully request that an order
be issued authorizing me to purchase from exempts of Polk Co sufficient
corn and meat to supply the men and teams under my command procuring
Cedar Timber for repairs of G. H. & H. R. R. {Galveston,
Houston & Henderson RR} Bridges. |
