Dear Sir, |
We are greatly annoyed by
enrolling officers, both state and Confederate, so much so that I am
almost tempted to dismiss all hands and put Engines away until some
step is taken to save us from such ??? annoyances, I think the remnant
of E. Ten. & Ga. R. Rd men who have stood firm under the trials
they have undergone for the last three years should not now be subject
to such annoyances. I will not be hasty but await your advise and
action but it is too bad to be pulld about and have our men, who are
working faithfully day and night for the Govt hauld up at every street
corner. We have barely enough men left to man our trains & keep
them up. |
Truly Yours |
