Mr Hazlehurst
prefers to go to Danville on Monday & meet you there as at first
proposed, & feels certain that time can be saved by so doing. The
Georgia contractors I understand propose to bring on their own
commissary supplies & I suppose can count without doubt on the
Secretary of War's giving orders to facilitate the transportation when
needed, in consideration of the vast importance of speedily completing
the Piedmont R. R. Telegram sent to Talcott & Myers that the first
arrangement stands & that you meet in Danville Monday afternoon. |
