| I have to acknowledge the receipt of your
note of today, stating that a quantity of iron had been received at
Petersburg from the S. & R. RR {Seaboard
& Roanoke RR} and that you have directed Capt. Dimmock to
send five miles of it to Capt. Myers at Danville {for
use in constructing the Piedmont RR}. |
