| Enclosed I send you a bill for Rail Road
Iron used on fortifications, which has been referred to me by the
Secretary of War with the endorsement that it should be paid in his
opinion from the Engineer appropriations. As these expenditures were
made in your department they are referred to you for settlement. Capt.
H. M. Davenport, A. Q. M. at Savannah, Geo. is familiar with this
claim. |
