| I am informed that the cars are all ready
to transport the pontoons to Staunton {Virginia
Central RR}, that the oars are at the depot, ready, but not a
pontoon nor any part of the bridge that is to go. Will you please to
press the matter -- everything hangs upon the engineers. |
| The Secretary wishes the officer who goes
with the boats and bridging to see that the flats are returned at once,
as they will be needed here as soon as they can be sent back. |
