| The sheriff of Halifax Co. was ordered by
direction of the Sec'y of War, several days since to collect &
deliver for repairs of the {Richmond &} Danville
R. R. 300 negroes, constituting the last group for work on
fortifications, raised in that Co. A copy of dispatch given to Mr.
Harvie to be sent to Mr. Edmunds. |
