Sir, |
I have submitted your communication to me
respecting the repairs of the South Anna Bridge to the Secretary of
War who has come to the following conclusions. I am to assist you with
negro laborers as soon as a sufficient number of them arrive to supply
the most pressing military calls. Genl. Jackson to be requested to
furnish you with the {Virginia} Central R. R. mechanics. I am still unable to
help you with negroes, but hope to do so speedily, as they are coming
in fast. Do you wish the four teams & wagons at once & can you
furnish drivers. |
Very respectfully & truly yours |
