Sir, |
Arrangements have been made by which we
can store a supply of lime in Richmond as soon as we can get
transportation for it. The break existing in the {Virginia}
Central RRd at the South Anna Bridge will interfere probably
for a short time longer. I should be pleased to receive an official
statement from you, accompanied by the RRd Agent's note of the number
of barrels of lime delivered by you, that payment may be made & I
would also be obliged if you would ascertain when, & to what
extent we may receive transportation. Can a satisfactory, but ???
warehouse rough & of moderate size be constructed in the immediate
vicinity of Fishersville Depot {on the Virginia
Central RR} for storing a limited supply of lime, with
dispatch, & at anything like reasonable rates? An early reply will
oblige. |
Yours very respectfully |
