Mr. Pilson informs me that he has over 200
logs (about 2 loads) which he is very anxious to have hauled from a
point about 6 1/2 miles above town. This timber is for an obstruction
at Warnick Bar in James River which Gen. Lee deems of importance. If
you will inform Mr. Pilson (who will call at the Deport from time to
time to know) when you can furnish transportation, he will have hands
on the spot to load. |
