track connecting Richmond & Petersburg and Petersburg Rail Roads. |
| "Respectfully returned to
the Hon. Sec. of War. Steps were taken some days ago to procure
materials for strengthening the present bridge over the Appomattox
River connecting the Rail Roads at Petersburg. The question of
changing the track will be carefully examined." |
