I shall be absent in Albemarle for two or
three days & write in consequence to earnestly request you to be
in Richmond if your health will possibly permit during my absence. |
The question of the repair of the Danville
R. R. may come up before the Bureau & a supply of iron be called
for. Capt. J. W. Smith in my absence will attend to all the business
of the Bureau, but should it become necessary to impress iron from the
farther end of the Y. R. R. R. {Richmond &
York River RR} or elsewhere, I should like him to have
the benefit of your advice & assistance. |
